Welcome to The Concert Photo Of The Day for 01/15/12 .

3 hours sleep (being generous here) and hundreds of photos filtered thru the memories of a wonderful night in Asbury Park is tough. I have realized that over the past 2 hours as I gaze upon my laptop screen trying to put to word and photo a description of what Light of Day means on so many levels.

Sure there are any number of wonderful performances that are almost too many in number to digest them all. Maybe the only way to eat at such a buffet table of music is to not eat a lot but eat often. For some, they deal with it by gorging a favorite dish. Still others focus on the socialization that comes when all sorts of friends, old and new, come together for a common cause.

Me, I'm a glutton for it all. I dive in with both feet, both hands and the idea that these moments are special and never the same way twice. So, this morning, with another 12 or so hours of music to go, I did my best to find a photo that contains what being here in Asbury Park means to me...the whole. It had to have music. It had to have camaraderie. It had to have a bit of goofing around like what friends do when they are together. And it all had to be wrapped around coming together to raise funds for the Light of Day foundation because that is the foundation it is all built upon.

Enough of my words. If I go any further it will just be the babbling of a sleep deprived maniac still digesting it all. I will say that each year is more worth the last and, together, we are just around the corner from our common destination...a cure.

And that's what this is all about.

Today's photo was taken with a Canon 7D camera body coupled with a Canon EF 70 - 200 mm f/2.8 IS Mk II lens at a focal length of 120 mm. The camera settings were ISO 1600, f/3.2 and a shutter speed of 1/100 of a second.
